A map of South America and the West Indies
Drawn by prolific London mapmaker William Hack and published in 1683. Hack was noted for his work in copying and publishing Spanish charts of the Caribbean and South America that had been captured by bucaneers such as Bartholomew Sharpe. Hack’s maps were magnificently produced, and a number of them presented to Charles II.
