Drawn at the time of the start of Napoloeon’s exile on the island, this map was published in London later that year
A Geographical Plan of the Island & Forts of Saint Helena, drawn by Lieut. R.P. Read in 1815 and published a year later, dedicated to the Duke of Kent and Strathearn (Queen Victoria’s father). This would have been of considerable contemporary interest, following Napoleon Bonaparte’s exile and arrival on the island in October 1815.
