Published in Paris in 1728, the full title of this plan was “Nouveau Plan De Paris Et Ses Faubourgs Dressee Sur La Meridienne”
The map is the work of L’Abbe Delagrive and was drafted by Duflos and engraved by Luis Bord. The City of Paris itself is shown in detail with extensive gazetteers, and is surrounded by elevations of important public buildings of the time. The Plan also includes a portrait of the young king, Louis XV. Delagrive’s Plan was the first map of Paris to be offered to the public by subscription.
