A historical chart of the world, published in France in 1750
Covering the period from 2000 BCE to 1750 CE, the chart spans Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, subdivided into countries, detailing the rise and fall of tribes, empires and kingdoms. The chart was devised by Jean Dartois and Jean Louis Barbeau de la Bruyère, and engraved by Desbruslin, one of three generations of engravers and map makers in Paris.
